I have had many different experiences as a real estate lawyer.  I have walked with clients through both booms and downturns in the real estate market.  Each experience has its own challenges.  And each experience has made me better prepared to deal with the next one.

I very much enjoy the real estate industry and the people I have met in it, locally, nationally and internationally.  In fact, as a young lawyer, it was the people in the real estate industry, including real estate lawyers, that made me want to become a real estate lawyer.

I value people, both clients, and non-clients, and I do my best to practice law in a way that values people.  I do not have a “take no prisoners” approach.  My goal is for each person in a real estate deal to know that when dealing with me, they are dealing with an able attorney who will behave with integrity and treat them with respect.

Although I was not born in Texas or Dallas, I have lived in Dallas since I was a child, with a brief tenure in Waco, Texas while in college and law school.  My wife Kris and I, and our children make our home in Dallas.
